Well, you've experienced some of Canada's "true north, strong & free"! How wonderful for both of you, as this part of the Island is new for Dad too. I've seen a bit of it and found the Comox valley especially appealing. I guess other Albertans feel the same way as many have bought property there for their vacation and/or retirement.
